Shoe Rack in Apartment: Ideas and Design

Shoes - an independent subject of our wardrobe. So, why do we often make a mistake when disclaim a shoe rack? Are your shirts hanging in the wardrobe? Are your tee-shirts sorted out on the shelves? So, why did you pay no heed to your shoes and left them at the mercy of fate? They are gathering a dust in the corridor; migrate from one box to another. And if you have pets, for example dogs, then leaving shoes in an open space just dangerous. However, if all your weekend and work shoes come to harm, please, be kind to your guests, who will definitely not rely on what your Buddy gnaw their heelpieces. In general, you have already known that a shoe rack in the apartment just as essential piece of furniture like a wardrobe.

Location

Of course, it makes no sense to argue and think about where to put the shoe rack. The most logical is that it should be set in the hallway and as close as possible to the input threshold. It is very convenient. As soon as you entered the apartment, immediately took off your shoes and put them into the shoe rack. All well, no excess dirt and dust. The shoes are not lying around and do not clutter up a precious sq. feet and even without that "huge sized" hallways of the standard apartments.

Types Shoe Racks

So, all different design shoe racks can be divided into three groups:

- shoe-lockers,
- racks or simply shelves,
- shoe cupboard.

What are the advantages of shoe-lockers? They are practical, and the shoes can fully hide inside. So that, the dirty shoes after walking in the autumn woods, are without anyone noticing. There is the only thing in the locker selection − pay attention to a width of the shelves. It is desirable that the shoe locker's doors are not snug against the shelves and then you will be able to put shoes of any size.

Racks and shelves are certainly roomy, but they put up the shoes for show. In all other respects they are not inferior to a shoe cupboard. In addition, if you do not want to spend money to buy a shoe rack, the easiest variant thereof, namely shelves, you can build your own units. But, nevertheless, talking about aesthetics, the shoe rack should be closed type. So many owners prefer shoe-lockers or a shoe cupboard.

Speaking of the latter, shoe cupboards are convenient in that in addition to the shoe department there is still a place for sitting. Agree, but put on one's shoes in the sitting position much more convenient than standing. However, shoe cupboards have one drawback, their roominess are usually designed for four pairs of adult's shoes, not more. Thus, the shoe placing will not go on for the whole family's stock of shoes for several seasons in this cupboard. However, it is versatile and perfectly fit into the interior.

As well, there are also shoe racks. They usually appear as small racks, and are not much different from the shoe cupboards by roominess.

Design

We wish that in the interior of the apartment all looked perfectly, complemented each other, and combined well. With regard of shoe racks, you will not have the problems in order to fit them into the interior of the apartment:

• First, as we have seen, there are several types of shoe racks. Therefore, they are selected based on the volume of shoes and the floor space;
• Second, manufacturers offer different materials for these shoe racks. So, the greater volume of models on the market is made of wood or superseding it materials.

Many shoe racks have a mirrored door, which eliminates several design problems at once. First of all, mirrors virtually increase the room, and the presence of a mirror in the corridor is simply necessary. The shoe cupboards allow you to save space, so you do not need to buy additional poof for changing your shoes. As already mentioned, various natural and artificial materials are used to manufacture shoe racks, so you can easily pick up any unit for your interior.
